Government should work for everyone — Independent, Democratic, Republican. Kathy Salzano will bring a different perspective to county government and will represent all people, regardless of income, age, race, religion, gender, political affiliation, or who you know.
In DuPage County, citizens are experiencing economic hardships due to unprecedented job loss and home foreclosures. Some County Board members work part-time while enjoying full time salaries ($51,059 plus great benefits), at taxpayer expense. Tax payers deserve representatives who will work for them -- not for special interests, financial contributors, or on their own law practices.
County Board members should work to create jobs and support business in DuPage, control flooding / water management, reduce traffic congestion, improve public transportation, and improve health and human services.
Representing the voters of District 1 is not a part-time job. (In which District do you live?)
